TomSka Facts

He was interested in cameras and editing as a child and had made several short films using his parents’ video camera. He had also created a website called CakeBomb where he used to upload animated videos from a web series called asdfmovie, several of which went viral.

While he was studying at the University of Lincoln, he had created several unofficial advertisements for the university which went on to receive millions of views. He was almost rusticated from the university as one of those videos was a parody with inappropriate content. However, he was forgiven when the viewership of that video started to skyrocket.

In addition to his primary self-titled YouTube channel, he also runs another channel called DarkSquidge where he posts vlogs and behind-the-scenes footage from his first channel. He also engages in social commentary on the channel where he discusses topics such as mental health, s*xual health, and body positivity. The channel has amassed more than 1.5 million subscribers.

In 2014, he had created, in collaboration with video game developer Pixel Spill Studios, a shoot ’em up video game called KatataK. 5 years later, in 2019, he raised more than £ 1 million via a Kickstarter campaign to develop a card game called Muffin Time: The Random Card Game which was based on his web series asdfmovie.

Although not a professional musician, he can play the bass guitar and trumpet. He is so adept at the former instrument that he can even play it left-handed.
