Conor McGregor reacts to Manny Pacquiao owing his management company millions after court case by se

Conor McGregor has reacted to his management company successfully suing Manny Pacquiao by sending an ominous message to Artem Lobov.

The UFC legend was supposed to face ‘PacMan’ in 2021 but the fight fell through and relations between the Filipino boxing legend and Paradigm Sports broke down.

McGregor’s representatives claimed they had already paid £2.63million ($3.3m) to Pacquiao before he walked away from the exclusive two-fight deal he signed with them.

Paradigm also claimed the eight-weight world champion failed to disclose a pre-existing management deal before linking up with them in February 2020 – the company headed by Audie Attar wanted £16million [$20m] in damages.

A jury in California returned a 9-3 verdict in Paradigm’s favour, awarding them £1.43m [$1.8m] in addition to the £2.63m [$3.3m] they had initially paid to Pacquiao, totalling just over £4m [$5.1m].

However, that fee could increase to £6.4m [$8m] when legal fees are factored in, and the former dual-weight UFC champion made that much clear when reacting to the news on social media.

“Manny owes 8 in all. 5.1 he owes and then 2.9 in legal fees. Legal fees are heavy but that’s what we do. Heavy weight operations,” McGregor tweeted.

The 34-year-old used his management’s legal victory to send a threatening message to his former friend, Lobov, who he is currently battling in court.

“Rartem you already owe me two rounds of court fees, awarded by the judge,” McGregor continued.

“There will be a judgement put on your home as this progresses because I know you won’t have my legal fees. I will have no choice but to take your home. You are a mad thing lol. Silly c***.”

Lobov was one of McGregor’s main training partners during his UFC peak and the two appeared to be best friends until they fell out over a business deal gone wrong.

‘The Russian Hammer’ told talkSPORT that he came up with the idea for Proper 12 Whiskey but was frozen out when the business became a success before being sold told Proximo Spirits for £477milion [$600m] in 2021.

After suing McGregor for his fair share, Lobov launched a second lawsuit when the UFC legend branded him a 'rat' on social media, but the High Court in Ireland cleared him of making defamatory posts.

The retired fighter fought against paying McGregor’s legal fees, but a judge rejected his appeal and ordered him to cover his ex-pals’ costs from their first couple of legal battles.

‘Mystic Mac’ celebrated his victory on social media but the main lawsuit is still ongoing and he is clearly feeling confident that he’s done nothing wrong while handling Lobov’s role in his whiskey business.
